Newcomer Asylum Seeker/Refugee Peripatetic Team

We help with the integration and achievement of newcomer pupils and their families. 

What we do?

  • We work with services, for example: Health, mental health, Police. 
  • We support school admission.
  • We support the induction of newly arrived pupils. 
  • We raise awareness of asylum seeker issues.
  • We assess new pupils and support teachers in target setting. 
  • We provide advice about resources. 
  • We provide training for school staff and outside agencies.
  • We provide curriculum support at all levels. 
  • We provide pastoral support for pupils, parents and teachers.
  • We work with Liverpool Community College, on the 'ESOL Young Learners', a program. 
  • We develop pupil and family learning projects which help promote integration.
