EAL and Bilingual Pupils

Teachers who have pupils who are bilingual or speak English as an additional language (EAL) must be aware of certain things.

  • You must remember that English is used in all types of learning and not just that subject area.
  • Lessons should have visual clues to help pupils understand.
  • Pupils should get feedback on what they are doing.
