Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS)

Liverpool is the 'World in one City' and is home to many different people.
For hundreds of years lots of communities have played a part in our history.
It's believed that we have the oldest Chinese community in Europe and we have had a Black community since 1750.
We have provided refuge for people escaping danger in their own country.
We are home for overseas students, who attend further and higher education.
Over 8000 minority group learners now attend Liverpool schools.
