Breeding of Dogs Act, 1973

A person who carries on the business of breeding dogs for sale, will require a licence from the council. 

An application form and guidance notes (MS Word [58.5Kb] opens in new window) are available. The licence is for a maximum period of 12 months and will expire on 31 December of each year.

The fee for this licence is £112.00 and must accompany the application form. If you are paying by cheque please make it payable to Liverpool City Council.
