Dangerous wild animals Act, 1976

A list of dangerous wild animals is set out in the guidance notes available on the DEFRA web site.

The keeping of any dangerous wild animal is unlawful unless a licence has been issued by the council. Any person intending to keep such an animal must meet certain stringent requirements before a licence can be issued. 

The licence is for a maximum period of 12 months and will expire on the 31 December of each year.

An application form should be submitted to the licensing unit for processing. 

The fee of £260.00 must accompany the application form. If you are paying by cheque please make it payable to Liverpool City Council.
