There is an automatic entitlement for 2 machines of category C or D gaming machines. You must however notify the Licensing Authority using the notification form (PDF [33Kb] opens in new window)  together with the £50.00 fee. Guidance notes (PDF [42.9Kb] opens in new window) to assist you in making your application may be accessed here. 

If you would like to have more than 2 gaming machines then you will have to apply for a Licensed Premises  Gaming Machine Permit for the total number of machines 2 Months before your existing permit is due to expire. A Licensed Premises  Gaming Machine Permit will be subject to a condition that the holder must conform to the relevant Code of Practice about the location and operation of gaming machines. The Gambling Commission has issued Codes of Practice and information on the various categories of gaming machines, which may be viewed here.
