Liverpool City Council Licensing Authority is pleased to publish its Statement of Principles
(a policy), which sets out how the Licensing Authority will deal with applications for premises licences for casinos and bingo and betting premises, and adult and family gaming centres. The Authority will also deal with applications for gaming machine permits, occasional and temporary use notices and small lotteries under the Gambling Act 2005.
The Statement of Principles was approved by the City Council on 6 December 2006 after having gone through a wide consultation process between 27 July and 27 October 2006. All comments received during the consultation were carefully considered and incorporated within the statement where relevant.
The Statement of Principles came into effect on 31 January 2007. For those persons who would prefer to look at a printed version of the statement, copies may be read at the City Centre One Stop Shop, Municipal Buildings, Dale Street, Liverpool L2 2 DH.
Copies may also be read at the Central Library, William Brown Street, Liverpool L3 8EW.
