The Health Act 2006 came into force on 1st July 2007. Premises Licence Holders may be considering providing facilities for their customers to allow them to smoke.
Depending on your individual circumstances, it may be that you as a Premises Licence holder will either have to formally vary your Premises Licence, or seek an informal amendment to your plan of the licensed premises.
You may also have to obtain a change in your planning permission and in some cases obtain permission from the Highways Authority for a pavement licence.
The Licensing Authority will consider every case on its merits and we have provided useful guidance notes
to assist you.
