Chambers of commerce
Liverpool Chamber was set up in 1850 to look after the interests of the merchants and businesses in the city.
Today it gives its members a wide range of services, support and opportunities. These are aimed at keeping them ahead of their competition.
The Chamber acts as the voice of Liverpool's business community.
From training to trade missions, representation to networking. The Chamber makes sure that its members can work better and more productively. They can be secure in the knowledge that they have a well established and helpful group behind them.
The Chamber has equipped itself to be able to react and respond more effectively on behalf of local businesses to regional, national and International issues. It has been able to do this because of:
- the strengthening of the North West Chambers;
- the continuing growth of the British Chambers of Commerce network (with over 140,000 business members); and
- agreements reached with European Chambers.
