Area or site specific regeneration

Liverpool is changing for the better. We are doing this by working with Liverpool Partnership Group, Liverpool Vision, the public and private sector and local communities.
In 2004, Councillor Mike Storey OBE, then Leader of the Council, dubbed Liverpool the "Capital of Cranes". It is easy to see the changes both in the city centre and the suburbs.
A lot is happening, including:
- changes in the housing market to increase housing choices
- development of the commercial district
- tourism/leisure/cultural facilities in the city centre
- the Paradise Street Project, changing the way we shop
- the industrial growth in Speke Garston, which is creating many jobs
Liverpool is truly a 21st century city. The driving economic force of the region and a place of pride for the people who live there.
