Liverpool Strategic Employment Partnership

The Liverpool Strategic Employment Partnership (LSEP) was a city-wide Strategic Issue Partnership (SIP) administered by Liverpool First, the city's Local Strategic Partnership between 2001 and 2006.

The LSEP's main goal was to set up and run schemes that would help to create jobs in the city.  This aim was included in the Liverpool Community Strategy.

The LSEP produced a number of publications which are retained here as a historic record.  These included:-

  • Single Targeting Framework Report
A report compiled four times a year.  This looks at how the Partnership has performed when compared to targets and aims within the Employment Business Plan.

  • Liverpool Employment Plan (PDF [1.5Mb] opens in new window)
This plan set out Liverpool First's targets for getting 'People into Jobs'.

  • Employment Business Plan
This document included an annual Business Plan.  The purpose of this is to set out key objectives and targets for the year.  These were delivered by LSEP partners. The Business Plan brought partners' different targets together into a single framework.

  • The Employment Tool-Kit  2002/03 (PDF [391.4Kb] opens in new window)
This was a package of measures designed to support the main objectives of the Liverpool Employment Plan. The toolkit gave support to both employers and individuals around the themes of prevention, integration, retention and progression.
