Health and safety training
The commercial unit does not currently provide health and safety training courses. There are a number of organisations found on our links page that may be able to assist you with your training requirements.
To help businesses comply with the law, the Commercial Unit offers advice and information on health and safety matters. This takes a number of forms:-
- We will strive to provide you with immediate advice over the telephone if an inspector is available when you call;
- Inspectors are happy to visit your business and discuss specific areas which are of interest to you;
- Guidance and information packs are produced making it easier to understand and comply with the law;
A health and safety 'starter pack' either in hard copy or CD is also available free of charge to assist new businesses;
Training workshops for businesses may be held throughout the year where guidance is given in a more detailed and structured way.
