Austin Smith Memorial - Small Grants Fund

Please note that funding for the Austin Smith Memorial Small Grants Fund has now closed.

Please be aware that the funding is only available if you are based in the Princes Park ward.

The Liverpool 8 Law Centre has created the Austin Smith Memorial Fund in recognition of Father Smith's significant community work in the Toxteth area.

Please note, applicants who have received a successful grant from the Austin Smith Fund this year (2011-12) cannot apply.

What we fund directory

The 'What we fund 11-12' directory provides details of the entire voluntary and community sector (VCS) projects funded through the Community Resources Unit in 2011-12. The funding programme is diverse and funds community led projects under the following themes:

  • Community legal advice.
  • Domestic violence.
  • Stronger communities.
  • Capacity building.

The total investment in the programme is over £3.2 million and underpins the City Council’s recognition of the important role of the VCS in building sustainable, inclusive and caring communities especially in the current economic climate.
