A provisional statement provides applicants with a means of establishing whether a premises that is being or about to be constructed or substantially altered for the provision of licensable activities would be granted a premise licence after the building works are complete. If the Chief Officer of Police for the area where the premises is situated is satisfied that the exceptional circumstances of the case are such that granting the application would undermine the crime prevention objective, he must give a notice of this to the Licensing Authority within 14 days. The Licensing Authority will then hold a hearing to determine the notice given by the police.

Yes. If after the 10 working day consultation period has expired and no representations have been made by a responsible authority or interested party, then we will approve the minor variation.
If any representations have been received, we have a further five working days to consider them and will decide whether to approve or reject the application.
If the minor variation is approved, we will issue a notice outlining the minor variation to the premise licence or club premises certificate. We will also issue a new licence or certificate to reflect the minor variation.
When licensed premises change hands, the new owner or operator must transfer the premises licence as soon as possible.

Yes. This means that you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from the local authority by the end of the target completion period, which is subject to the submission of all information required. The timescale is 20 days after receipt of a valid application.
If you are the freeholder, leaseholder or occupier of a property which has a Premises Licence, then you may notify the Licensing Authority of that interest and we will advise you when an application is received in respect of those premises.
