Gambling premises licence The council authorises the provision of facilities for gambling.
 
Gambling permits The council is responsible for issuing alcohol licensed premises, family entertainment centres, prize gaming and clubs.
 
Small society lotteries These do not require a licence, but must be registered with the council.
 
Operating and personal licences The Gambling Commission grants operating and personal licences for commercial gambling, people in the industry and certain lottery managers and promoters.
