Community Resources Unit Funding Programme 2008-11 - Appeals

A quick reminder for any organisation intending to appeal against the initial recommendations in respect of applications submitted under the above funding programme. 

All appeals must be submitted by post or hand delivered by 4pm at the latest on Wednesday 6th February 2008. 

All appeals will be acknowledged either on receipt if delivering by hand or within 4 working days of submission using the contact details you supplied on your original application. If this included email your acknowledgement will be forwarded electronically - so please check the relevant mailbox(s). If you do not receive an acknowledgement for your appeal within this timescale you must contact us on 225 2316

If you hand deliver you must bring the appeal to

Community Resources Unit Funding Programme 2008-11 - Initial Recommendations

The following list gives an indication of the initial recommendations of the Voluntary Sector Funding Panel in respect of the applications received. Each applicant will also receive a letter with full details about their individual recommendations through the post and by email where an email address is supplied.

The amount available for the consideration of appeals in each theme is a follows:- 

  • Community Legal Advice Services £141,798
  • Stronger Communities £165,000
  • Domestic Violence £55,293
  • Homelessness £50,000
  • Strengthening VCS £107,507    



TENS Community Chest Scheme 2007-08 - Round Two NOW CLOSED

The second round of the Empowering Neighbourhoods Scheme (TEN's) a small grant community chest is now closed.

Community Resources Funding Programme 2005-2008

The Community Resources fund provides grants to voluntary and community groups in Liverpool. 

The fund supports the following services. 

  • Community services
  • Advice and information services including debt, housing and welfare benefits advice
  • Capacity Building services for voluntary and community groups of all sizes                                                  

The council awards grants for a maximum of three years. The current funding round is fully committed and is now in its third and final year ending in March 2008. 

Funded Groups

A total of eighty-four groups receive funding totalling over £4m. View full list of groups
