Community and living
This section offers useful information aimed at getting you to engage, communicate and work with your local community, as well community-based advice and services.
The city has been divided into five neighbourhood areas. Each has its own team of multi-skilled staff who act as champions for that community.
If you want to find more about these neighbourhoods, find a local voluntary organisation or fancy doing some voluntary work, use the links on the left hand side to find out more.
We've also included some information about the ethnic communities in the region and the many faiths that are followed within the city.
In the Your life pages you'll find help when you face major life changes like having a baby or losing a job, as well as how to register a marriage, birth or death.
We've also added pages for young people which cover issues such as health, give advice on careers and learning, and explain more about Liverpool's schools council and schools parliament.
As part of the Change for Children agenda and the Children and Young Persons Plan, Liverpool has to provide a directory of services aimed at children and young people.
To access the directory please visit www.help4me.info where you can find a web based list of services for children adults and families.
