Purpose of the exercise:

This exercise seeks to gauge customer feedback of the city council's official publication - City magazine.

Who will be consulted and how:

All readers of City magazine.  The magazine is distributed to all 220,000 homes in Liverpool free of charge.

A questionnaire is contained within Issue 46 of the magazine.  Alternatively, the questionnaire can be completed online until 15th June 2007.

The exercise will be reported to:

  • Executive Director - Culture, Media and Sport
  • Culture, Media and Sport Management Team
  • Resources Select Committee   

What were the findings of the exercise:

We received 120 completed questionnaires.  Of these:

  • 82% said the got information about city council services from the City Magazine 

  • the magazine was ranked as the best source for information on council services and the European Capital of Culture

  • 90% of respondents said they would like to receive information on council services from the City Magazine

  • 95% stongly agreed and agreed that the City Magazine is an interesting read

  • 96% strongly agreed and agreed that the City Magazine was a useful way of finding out what the council was doing

What are the changes to the service brought about as a result of the consultation:

There will be an ongoing improvement in the content of the magazine, including the listings guide and more coverage on the Capital of Culture.
