Who was consulted and how:

Ward councillors, residents and the People's Panel were consulted via leaflets, an exhibition and a presentation.

Who were the results of the exercise reported to:

The results will be reported to the executive board as part of the enabling report for the project.

What were the findings of the exercise:

Generally the responses were favourable with all of the consultees agreeing that there was a need for these environmental improvements.

What are the changes to the service brought about as a result of the consultation:

As no issues of major note were raised during the consultation period no major changes have been made to the proposals for the Leeds-Liverpool canal environment improvements. However, it is recognised that the during the detailed design phase and due to the complexity of the numbers of parties involved, detailed dialogue will still need to be maintained with all stakeholders to ensure that the works suceed.
