What it involves:

The identification of the priority works that should be included within funding bids, restorative and improvement programmes within parks and green spaces.

Who will be consulted and how:

In order to develop improvement works in parks and green spaces that meet local needs, the following are consulted via meetings, which invariably include site visits:

  • ward councillors
  • friends of parks groups
  • neighbourhood management teams
  • where appropriate, specialist bodies such as the Corporate Access group, the Liverpool Disability Group and Countryside Equality Marketing  

Who will the results of the exercises be reported to:

As required by the high-level targets contained within the parks strategy (PDF [3.8Mb] opens in new window), the details of all park and greenspace improvement works undertaken within the preceding 12 months are contained within an annual parks improvement that is shared with the Parks scrutiny panel and the Liverpool Parks Friends forum.

What were the findings of the exercise:

Consultations have been uncertaken continuously throughout the year as part of the commissioing process for park improvements.

What are the changes to the service brought about as a result of the consultation:
