Purpose of the exercise:

As part of the Black and minority ethnic housing strategy (PDF [862.8Kb] opens in new window), there is a target for Public Protection to ensure service take-up reflects the ethnicity of the community. This consultation exercise will help monitor this.

Who was consulted and how:

Customers were consulted via a telephone survey.

Who were the results of the exercise reported to:

The results were reported to Public Protection's business management team

What were the findings of the exercise:

The results of the exercise showed that the percentage of people who were black and minority ethnic who accessed the service was 12%. This is substantially above the black and minority ethnic representation rate in Liverpool's population.

What are the changes to the service brought about as a result of the consultation:

No changes are required as the service black and minority ethnic take-up is higher than the city's black and minority ethnic population.
