Purpose of the exercise:

This consultation exercise assessed satisfaction with the admission arrangements for children who started school in September 2007.

Who was consulted and how:

Parents/carers of children who started school in September 2007 were surveyed via the admissions questionnaire.

Who were the results of the exercise be reported to:

The results will be reported to the Children's Services select committee.

What were the findings of the exercise:

The responses received were generally positive, with the majority of parents/guardians stating that they understood the admissions information that was provided and that they were clear about the admissions procedures and their role in the process.

What are the changes to the service brought about as a result of the consultation:

No changes have been made to the admission's process as a high level of satisfaction was expressed by respondents.
