Purpose of the exercise:
Liverpool's Children's Information service provides parents, carers, workers and employers with information on childcare facilities in Liverpool. The service provides information about childcare in the city as well as giving advice about suitable childcare services. This exercise will measure the levels of satisfaction with the service and inform service improvements.
Who will be consulted and how:
Service users, elected members and partners will be consulted using the Outbound Call centre (a telephone survey)
Who will the results of the exercise be reported to:
The results of the exercise will be reported to Children's Information service managers
What were the findings of the exercise:
Read the quarterly evaluation reports (listed below) to review the findings of the quarterly surveys. The Children's Information service reviews these reports with frontline staff at regular review meetings and and takes any necessary action to improve service delivery.
You can read the quarterly reports for our customer satisfaction surveys by clicking on the links below (latest first):
What are the changes to the service brought about as a result of the exercise:
The evaluation process has been revised as the flow of the questions didn't gather information successfully. The findings of these surveys also contributed to the childcare sufficiency assessment in terms of demonstrating demand, and has enabled the service to focus outreach work to support hard-to-reach communities.
These satisfaction surveys will continue during 2008/09 and will continue to feed into a regular review of the childcare sufficiency assessment.
