How we manage performance information
To manage the council's performance we have created a single, unifying performance system - our performance management database. For 2008/09 this holds information on 65 service plans and national and local performance indicator information.
It also links our aims and priorities with the relevant service and performance indicators and holds information on the Liverpool area agreement and each of our neighbourhood agreements.
Service plans
Service plans contain:
- details about the service, including service standards, financial details and internal controls
- the corporate aims and priorities that the service is working towards
- the services key improvement priorities
- targets for and performance against national performance indicators (NIs), local public service agreement (LPSA) indicators and local indicators for the service
- the consultations exercises that the service plans to carry out
- information on the user groups that the service engages with
- the services equality action plan
- the services risk register.
Service managers complete their service plans at the beginning of each year and update them quarterly.
