We also run projects aimed at ensuring specific groups can get online, including:
- Children's information network (CNET) focuses on looked after children
- Older Person's information network (OPIN) focuses on older people
Computers are available in foster, residential and supported accommodation and at a whole range of partner locations including
- Age Concern Active Age Centre
- Merseyside Youth Association
- Merseyside Society for Deaf People
- Some Adult and City Learning centres
Every school in the city has either an ICT suite with access to the internet and/or a PC in each classroom. Some schools have Parent Partnership bases and there is access for parents.
Schools are moving to extended provision which will involve a broader access to citizens in using their local school as a community resource which may include the ICT facilities. Also we provide access via the City Learning Centres
