Liverpool City Council - Reporting our 2008/09 performance

Reporting our 2008/09 performance

Each quarter (Apr- June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec, Jan-Mar) we will report on our progress against the performance indicators and key actions listed in the corporate aims and priorities document (CAP doc) in the corporate plan.

Performance is reported a month behind, e.g. June's (first quarter) figures are reported in July, so the quarterly performance reports will be compiled in the month following the end of the quarter. Once the reports have been compiled they will be presented to the executive board and then posted onto this page - see below.

Monthly monitors.

Each of the council's aims has two executive members and one executive director (known as a triad) responsible for monitoring and ensuring progress against them.

Each month, the lead executive director will present a report (known as a monthly monitor) to the two executive members responsible for that aims. These monitors bring together progress on performance and key actions to achieve priorities, together with finance, risk, value for money, consultation, inspection and improvement plan information and ensure that members receive a rounded view of how we are progress ing against our aims and prioritis and what the principle challenges are to securing ongoing improvement.

A 'corporate' monitor is also compiled for the corporate areas that aren't covered by the three aims. The monitor is presented to the 'octet', which is comprised of the Leader, deputy Leader (who also has responsibility for finance), executive members for Corporate Performance and Ethical Governance, the chief executive and three other senior officers.

Each month, after the monthly monitors have been reviewed by the triads and octet, the monthly monitors will be posted onto this page - see below, latest first:
