Liverpool City Council - corporate priorities

Section 4: Corporate priorities, measures and targets for 2004/07

This part of the plan sets out our high-level priorities and targets for the next three years to March 2007. Our priorities support the community strategy of the city (Liverpool First) and reflect our wider role in engaging with a wide range of partners to improve the quality of life for local people. They are derived from an evaluation of our performance, feedback from inspection agencies, the views of residents/stakeholders and link to the national shared priorities agreed between the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Government. Our priorities are presented under the current aims of the council (see below).

To measure the delivery against our priorities we have defined a series of measures and set specific targets for the next three years and also outlined the planned actions or the coming year, 2004/05. We will report the progress achieved during 2004/05 when we update and publish our next corporate performance plan before June 2005.
