Appendix 1 - achievements in 2005/06 against the corporate aims, priorities and measures published in May 2005
This part of the plan sets out the progress we have made against the high-level priorities, measures and targets published in last year's corporate performance plan (2005/08).
In each case, we show our performance against our published targets with the out-turn and performance commentary and our progress against the key actions for 2005/06. These are presented under the aims of council in operation in May 2005.

- Aim 1 - top quality, value for money services, while keeping the council tax as low as possible
- Aim 2 - a business friendly city with accessible, responsive and integrated business services which encourage inward investment, growth and jobs with a healthy not-for-profit business sector
- Aim 3 - well serviced, safe and sustainable neighbourhoods with optimum local accountability and influence over service management
- Aim 4 - top quality children's services which raise attainment and develop the self-esteem, skills, knowledge and qualifications that our citizens need
- Aim 5 - a healthy environment for all who live in, work or visit the city and an effective accessible transport system
- Aim 6 - the city at the forefront of delivering services electronically
