Equality performance indicators 2005/06 (with targets through to 2008/09)

This page sets out our equality key performance indicators (KPIs) for the past three years and our targets for the next three years (up to 2008/09). We have listed them under the aims of the council in operation in May 2005.

Note: We monitor performance over the financial year, which is from 1st April to 31st March. We indicate on the individual performance indicator if this isn't the case.

Aim 1top quality, value for money services, while keeping the council tax as low as possible

Aim 2a business friendly city with accessible, responsive and integrated business services, which encourage inward investment, growth and jobs, with a healthy not-for-profit business sector
 
Aim 3well-services, safe and sustainable neighbourhoods, with optimum local accountability and influence over service management

Aim 4top quality children's services which raise attainment and develop the self-esteem, skills, knowledge and qualifications that our citizens need

Aim 5a healthy environment for all who live in, work or visit the city and an effective and accessible transport system

Aim 6the city at the forefront of delivering services electronically
