Corporate equality plan 2006/09 (performance achieved in 2005/06 with targets through to 2008/09)
Welcome to Excellence through equity, this year's (2006/07) edition of Liverpool City Council's corporate equality plan.
This year's plan sets out a clear statement of what we have done and what we will do to provide services which value and celebrate cultural differences, a core element of our corporate vision, and help to create stronger and safer communities, one of new our corporate aims.
Excellence through equity takes account of:
- national legislation
- Liverpool First - the city's community strategy
- the council's overall vision, aims and values
- the council's race equality scheme
- guidance provided in the Equality Standard for Local Government
- the views of local communities, individuals and staff.
