Discounts for disabled people
If you need a room or other extra space in your property to meet the needs of someone with a disability, you may be entitled to a reduced Council Tax bill.
We may reduce the bill to that of a property in the band immediately below the band shown in the valuation list. These reductions mean disabled people do not pay more tax because of the space they may need due to a disability.
This reduction now applies to all properties. See our Council Tax valuation bands and check the band below your current band to see what you would pay.
Band A homes that qualify for this reduction have their Council Tax reduced by the equivalent of 1/9 of Band D.
