The role of the committee
The street trading committee carries out all the powers and duties of the council in relation to street trading, including the:
- designation of streets in the city for the purpose of street trading
- consideration and determination of applications for the grant, variation, transfer and renewal of street trading licences and consents
- formulation of policy in respect of the licensing and control of street trading and related matters
