Corporate Performance portfolio
Councillor Paul Twigger is the executive member for this portfolio. He has specific political responsiblity for the council's performance management arrangements, corporate improvement, business planning, human resources (HR) and health and safety. This includes responsiblity for (see 'further information' below for the full roles and responsiblities for this portfolio):

enhancing the council's corporate capacity by ensuring that the authority has robust performance management arrangements, HR and ICT policies and practice, in place to deliver on the council's agreed three aims, priorities and targets

ensuring that the council puts appropriate arrangements in place to evidence that authority is providing value for money - tackling high cost, low performing services both internally and by partners.

progressing the commitment, key milestones and targets set out in the council's key strategies and plans, such as the:

corporate plan - the council's high-level business plan.

people development strategy.

ICT strategy and plan.

ensure that the council responds to external inspection recommendations.
Councillor Graham Hulme is the assistant executive member for this portfolio.
