Deputy leader/finance, audit and procurement.
Councillor Flo Clucas OBE is the Deputy Leader of the council executive member for the finance and audit elements of the council's corporate improvement programme, procurement activities, the revenues and benefits service and European affairs. Her areas of responsibility include (see under 'further information' for complete 'role and responsibilities):
- working with the octet
to co-ordinate the council's corporate improvement programme. - ensuring the council has robust financial planning and management.
- overseeing the production and delivery of a robust, and up-to-date, medium-term financial plan.
- ensuring that the finances and the budgeting processes of the council drive progress towards the achievement of the council's commitements, key milestones and targets set in the council's key strategies and plans, including the:
- corporate plan - the council's high-level business plan.
- medium-term financial plan.
- annual governance review.
- procurement strategy.
- annual audit plan.
- promoting European affairs, including the city's European strategy.
- ensuring the council responds to external inspection recommendations for the areas she covers and prepares and implements improvements plans for those inspections.
- promoting women's enterprise.
Councillor Jan Clein is the assistant executive member for this portfolio.
