Safer, stronger communities portfolio
Councillor Marilyn Fielding is the executive member for this portfolio. She has specific political responsiblity for youth services and for tackling crime and anti-social behaviour and increasing people's satisfaction with their neighbourhood, and community cohesion. This includes responsiblity for (see 'further information' below for the full roles and responsiblities for this portfolio):

providing political leadership that assits the council, and its partners to deliver its aim 2: develop our communities

championing the council's neighbourhood agenda and the district committees and their chairs, and lead on housing for the authority.
