Full council
The full council, all 90 councillors, meets every seven weeks in the semi-circular council chamber of the Town Hall.

At the beginning of every municipal year (usually in May) the council holds its annual general meeting. This is the meeting where the Lord Mayor, deputy Lord Mayor, leader and executive board are appointed, as well as the various other committees of the council.
