What do we do?

The Equalities Team is a corporate resource, working with all service areas to improve access to services and opportunities.

  • We develop and monitor policies and strategies
  • We support managers to provide services across the community by promoting equality in service delivery and employment
  • We recognise peoples' individual qualities irrespective of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and disability
  • We offer advice to staff and the general public on equality issues effecting Liverpool City Council
  • We monitor our workforce and employment policies by race, gender and disability to make sure all staff are treated fairly and in accordance with their individual needs.
