Regeneration Environment
The Regeneration Environment Division's primary purpose is to ensure the Council's environmental vision and core values are actively promoted and made a reality and to lead the delivery of a quality environmental service for those who live, work and visit the City.
The Division leads on sustainability and the Liverpool Climate Change Action Programme.
The Division comprises three areas:
- Parks & Environment
- Public Protection
Parks & Environment
This team manage services for Parks and Cemeteries and Crematoria. A key part of this is Grounds Maintenance and Tree and Woodland services, including specialised arboriculture.

Public Protection Division
This team includes three sub-teams:
- Environmental Health who offer a wide range range of environmental health services to residents and visitors and to people who have a business in the city. These include:-
- food safety
- health and safety at work
- pollution control
- pest control
- private sector housing
- Port health
- sustainable development; and
- waste disposal

- Trading Standards who enforce many consumer laws to encourage fair, safe and honest trading. The areas they deal with include:-
- weights and measures
- product safety
- age-restricted products
- food labelling
- trade descriptions
- counterfeit and pirated products
- consumer credit; and
- unroadworthy and overloaded vehicles
