Family Learning courses are designed to provide parents and carers with:

  • Information about what their children learn in school and how they are taught. 
  • Confidence and skills to support their children's learning. 
  • A friendly, supportive environment where they can meet others. 
  • Opportunities to develop their own skills. 
  • A first step towards further training and employment opportunities.         


The Family Learning Curriculum covers:

  • Literacy.
  • Numeracy.
  • Information and Communication Technology.
  • Early Years Education.
  • Working with Bilingual Families.
  • Personal, Social, Health and Community Education.
