Welcome to Liverpool's Children and Young People Plan (CYPP) for 2009-2011 'Liverpool - Where Every Child Matters.'
This was approved by the City Council on 19 May 2009 and is published here in accordance with statutory requirements. If you would like the CYPP in another language or format, please ask us. Translation request![(PDF [286.6Kb] opens in new window)](/images/PDF.gif)
The CYPP is our key strategic statement for children and young people, and is part of the wider strategic planning for the city which is overseen by Liverpool First, our Local Strategic Partnership www.liverpoolfirst.org.uk
Appendix 9 is a glossary of jargon and abbreviations used in the CYPP, including links to relevant web pages where appropriate - see CYPP downloads below.
A summary of the CYPP is available. Whilst produced with children and young people in mind, the leaflet is suitable for use with a variety of audiences as an introduction to our latest CYPP. Summary leaflet![(PDF [2.4Mb] opens in new window)](/images/PDF.gif)
The web link to this page has been sent to our strategic partners and key stakeholders. Printed copies of the CYPP will also be available from public libraries and other local outlets shortly.

Appendices
N.B. Since publication, the targets for NI107 and NI108 have been revised, to reflect
the mobility of the cohort being targeted and regular updating of estimates by Fischer
Family Trust on which these performance targets are based
In addition, the schedule now includes an amended 2009/10 target for NI 117
because Government Office North West has moved from a single November reporting
date to a three-monthly average for this indicator.
Report Cards
Regular meetings are held with the relevant lead officers to review progress to date and the work that is ongoing or needs to be done in order to achieve our targets for each of the Every Child Matters outcome areas. These follow the Outcome Based Accountability reporting model.
Our latest CYPP report cards are published here in full and cover the period April to September 2009:
