Garston children's centre

Garston children's centre's provide services for children from 0 to 5 years old.
 
The centre is a one stop shop for parents, providers of childcare and family support. 

Garston Children's Centre

Provides education and childcare by experienced team of staff. 

They support inclusion and the admission policy covers purchased and funded places. 

Hours include full time, part time and sessional care. 

The centre has recently had improvements to the outdoor play area and had CCTV installed.

Banks Road Nursery and Reception 

Banks Road  provides learning that is fulfilling and exciting.  

Learning is developed through play, hands on experiences, individual  and groups work.

Holy Trinity Primary School 

Holy Trinity has places for nursery and reception children.

The Catholic school accepts children from other faiths. 

They  offer a happy, safe and caring setting for children to learn.

Local Childminding Networks 

Garston children's centre is a base for the Speke/Garston childminder network.

The childminder network is managed by a co-ordinator. 

Childminders provide  good quality home based childcare which meets the needs of the local community.

The network holds a drop in session at the Urban Village Hall, every Wednesday morning for children  to take part in group activities. 

  • Child and family health services: 
  • drop in baby clinic - Tuesdays 10am 
  • baby massage - Wednesdays 9.30am 
  • birth and beyond - Fridays 10am.             

Garston Children's  Centre

The  centre works with Liverpool City Council, children and parents.

Urban Village Hall

The Urban Village Hall is based at Garston  Children's centre.

Are you interested in work or training, but you're worried about childcare or how it might affect your income? 

Why not visit one of our New Deal Personal advisors based at Garston Children's centre for advice, help and support on:

  • finding a job, 
  • looking for childcare, 
  • Finding training opportunities, 
  • understanding what financial help you may be entitled to.     

Liverpool Childcare and Family Information service (CAFIS) 

This service provides free information on registered childcare in the area. 

CAFIS also works with Jobcentre Plus to support people who want to go back into work or training. 

Support includes 'childcare chats' that explain the different options available to you. 

We also offer up to five free childcare taster Sessions.

These sessions are for parents who are eligible for New deal for lone parents, New Deal for Partners and Employment Zone Recruitment Services. 

Services for children with special educational needs and disabilities

Neighbourhood Early Years Service (NEYS) is a service for children with special needs and disabilities. 

It brings together people from health, education and social services, who support children and families. 

On the 1st Wednesday of every month, NEYS holds 'drop in' session for families in Garston with children from 0-5.
