County Children Centre

County A Sure Start Children Centre

Services at:  County Children Centre

County Children Centre brings together a wide range of services for children from birth to 5 years old and their families, pregnant women and their partners.  The centre is a one-stop shop bringing a range of services together within the community, including health, family support and ante-natal services for parents and carers.  These services are for everyone within the County Ward and beyond.

Education and Childcare

The nursery is open from 8am - 6pm for 50 weeks in the year and provides education with care for children aged between 6 weeks and 5 years.  all the nursery staff are qualified and experienced in delivering quality childcare and the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.  The nursery offers a safe, secure and stimulating environment that is welcoming and child centred.  We offer all children opportunities to learn through play, new experiences and challenging activities.  Children's assessments and records of progress are completed in consultation with parents/carers.

The children and staff within the foundation Stage room work closely with the teaching staff from Arnot St Marys Primary School.  The setting actively promotes equality and inclusion.  There is additional support for children with Special Educational Needs and for children for whom English is an additional language.  Our admission policy covers a wide criterion, including purchased and funded places.  Full and Part-time places are available to meet the individual needs of families.  If your child is aged between 3 and 4 years they are entitled to receive free childcare sessions until your child reaches statutory school age.  This equates to five two and a half hour sessions per week.
