Liverpool City Council - Tuebrook Childrens centre

Tuebrook

Services at Tuebrook Children's Centre

Tuebrook Children's Centre brings together a wide range of services for children from birth to under 5 years old and their families, pregnant women and their partners.  The centre is a one-stop shop bringing a range of services together within the community, including health, family support and ante-natal services for parents and carers. These services are for everyone within the Tuebrook Ward and beyond.

We hope to make it easier for parents to obtain the range of services they need for themselves and their families in the early years of their children's lives.  You can use this Children Centre, or one that is more convenient for you.  Just register at the centre, and you can access all the services.

All the services are free, except for the daycare, but you may be eligible for financial support through the Working Families Tax Credits.  For advice on eligibility please ring Tax Credit helpline on 0845 300 3900.

EDUCATION AND CHILDCARE SERVICES

Children's Centre Nursery

The nursery provides education with care for children aged 6 weeks to under 5 years.  The nursery is open Monday - Friday from 8am - 6pm, 50 weeks per year.

All staff are qualified and experienced in delivering quality childcare and the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Our latest Ofsted inspection (previously known as Pendine Close Day Nursery) was carried out on 11th March 2008 and the overall rating was 'Good'. The nursery offers a safe, secure and stimulating environment that is welcoming and child centered. We offer all children opportunities to learn through play, new experiences and challenging activities.  Children's assessments and records of progress are completed in consultation with parents/carers.

The setting actively promotes equality and inclusion, there is continuous support for children with special educational needs and for children whom English is an additional language.

Click here for more information about our link school, St Margaret's of Anfield. Our admission policy covers a wide criteria including purchased and funded places. Full and part time places are available to meet the needs of families.

If your child is aged 3 or 4 years old then you are entitled to receive free childcare sessions, until your child reaches statutory school age.  This equates to five two-and-a-half hour sessions per week.  For more information and to check specific eligibility please ring Liverpool Children's Information Service (LCIS) on freephone 0800 234 6346.
