Do the Council's nurseries close during the school holidays?

No, the nurseries are open all year with the exception of bank holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year

When are the Council's day nurseries open?

Five days a week  - Monday to Friday and from 08.00am to  5.00pm (9 - 5)- but each child is allocated specific hours to meet the families needs 

How much does the Council charge for places in their day nurseries?

Nursery places are free to families in receipt of some benefits (Parents need to check). Families who are not in receipt of benefit are charged £2.17 per day. Currently the Council's nurseries do not allocate places to families whose income exceeds £14,000 per annum. NB - This is currently being reviewed

What age do the Council's day nurseries take children from?

From six weeks old



Can children attend the Council's nurseries for full days or are they sessional hours only?
