Liverpool City Council - How we can help

Independent Parental Supporters (IPS)

What are they?

They are trained volunteers who can give information and help to parents on SEN issues.

They may go with parents on visits to schools.

Some of our IPSs will also support parents at meetings as well as help with forms and letters.

We also have a number of IPSs that help us by circulating information and helping out with many tasks in our office.

We will be running  courses about the role of Independent Parental Supporters in the near future

Information

The Social, Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) is an initiative that is happening in schools throughout Liverpool and your child is involved.

SEAL Video

You can choose to download from two types of video formats:
.wmv (Windows Video Media) or .mov (Apple Quick time).

To do this, right click on the "Involving Parents & Carers" link and choose "Save Target As...", "Save Link As...", or a similar option.

Mac users may need to hold CTRL and click, then select "Involving Parents & Carers".
You should then be asked where to save the video on your computer.

Newsletter

At Parent Partnership we produce a newsletter every half term that has information about events that people can take part in, news about SEN that you may not read elsewhere and any recent changes to our team.

Our most recent newsletters are available for you to download below:
