Liverpool City Council - CYPP 2009-2011 Review and Refresh

CYPP 2009- 2011 Review and Refresh

The local authority has a statutory duty to undertake an annual review of its Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP) and consult such persons or bodies as it considers appropriate.

Liverpool's latest 2-year CYPP was approved on 19 May 2009 following an extensive consultation process. It is one of the City Council's key strategic plans, and an important element in the local implementation of the Government's Every Child Matters reform programme.

There have been ongoing discussions with the Government Office North West and regional representatives from the National Strategies regarding our priority setting and strategic direction for children and young people. This has informed the latest review and refresh of our CYPP, as has the outcome of the 2009 Liverpool Area Assessment and the Annual Rating of Children's Services.

Our proposals for 2010-11 are published below as the basis for consultation.
