Liverpool City Council - Education

Education and learning

We provide education and social care for children within one department called Children's Services.

Within these web pages you'll find information on lots of useful topics such as:

  • Help with finding childcare.
  • Advice on enrolling your child in school.
  • Where to find out about higher education.
  • Information about youth support.

In our schools and colleges pages, for instance, we also cover a wide range of issues such as:

  • Bullying;
  • Music and language tuition;
  • Educational visits;
  • Special educational needs;
  • Term dates.

In addition, our Services Directory http://www.help4me.info/ allows you to search for local services for children and families.

We aim to deliver top quality services and work hard to make sure that children and young people in Liverpool:

  • are healthy;
  • are safe;
  • enjoy their learning opportunities;
  • reach their goals.

Liverpool Children's Services has produced the "Children and Young People's Plan, 2006-2009" which you can download if you need more information.

You can contact us via Liverpool Direct on 0151 233 3000.
