Liverpool City Council - energy

Energy Efficiency and Advice

Everyone uses energy in their home. Unfortunately, many of us use more than we need - and much of it is wasted.

Energy efficiency is about using energy in your home in sensible way.  You should stay warm and comfortable in your home, but you should try not to waste this valuable resource or your money.

As a city, we want to improve energy efficiency in Liverpool homes, but there is a lot that residents can do to help themselves.

Cartoon Light Bulb - Save Energy symbol

New Mascot - Mr Watt

Energy officers at the council had decided that their Low Energy Light Bulb Man, who is their logo, deserved a name. Schoolchildren from Sacred Heart Catholic primary School took part and won with the name Mr Watt. Mr Watt is now helping with the promotion of enery efficiency in Liverpool.
