Registration
If you own a food business in Liverpool; or you have recently taken over an existing business; it is a legal requirement for you to register with the Food Safety Unit. You must do this at least 28 days before opening or taking over the business. Registration is free of charge.
We use our database of businesses to arrange a programme of inspections according to individual risk. It is also used to contact businesses in the event of a food hazard warning; which requires a product recall.
