New Housing Development SPD
Adopted on 15th July 2005
The new Housing Development SPD seeks to guide new housing development in Liverpool.
It has been put together to take account of changes in planning guidance, and in particular the designation of parts of Liverpool as one of the Government's Housing Market Renewal Initiative (HMRI) 'Pathfinder' areas.
The New Housing Development SPD is linked to the Unitary Development Plan. The SPD and the Unitary Development Plan will be used for making decisions on planning applications for new houses.

A draft version of the SPD went out to public consultation in November and December 2004. As a result of the comments received, a number of changes were made to the SPD.
